A $600,000 grant from Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation will expand Second Heart Homes’ work to turn homelessness into housing—and housing into lasting stability. The investment will help Second Heart Homes acquire and prepare another home in Sarasota or Manatee County, including appliances, furnishings, capital improvements and maintenance. The home will provide permanent housing for six people who have experienced homelessness and live with mental illnesses.
